Welcome to our website!

We have been active in the Australian Shepherd world for about 20 years. We are located just outside of Charleston, South Carolina in the town of Mount Pleasant. We are long standing members of the approved Breeder Referral list of the Australian Shepherd Club of America, as well as the American Kennel Club.

Over the years, dogs with the Poinsett kennel name have successfully competed and titled on the local and national levels in conformation, agility, obedience and herding venues. We have also bred hearing assistance dogs, search & rescue participants, certified therapy dogs, as well as loving companions and couch buddies.

Our puppies are born & raised in our home and benefit from daily, ongoing socialization. All of our breeding stock is carefully screened for hip & elbow dysplasia, hereditary cataracts, MDR-1 and Pelger-Huet Anomaly clearances. Our puppies/dogs come with both AKC & ASCA registrations, written health guarantees and are individually placed into carefully screened, loving homes.
